About

Rotarians are People of Action

Rotary is an international membership organization made up of people who share a passion and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the globe. With 35,000 clubs around the world and others that meet online, Rotary makes it easy to get involved and start making a difference today.

The Rotary Club of Livingston Parish is the local club of Rotary International. As a Rotarian, we subscribe to the tenet of “Service Above Self.” Rotary’s programs are developing the next generation of leaders, providing funding to make the world a better place, and making peace a priority. Rotary clubs bring together people across generations who share the ideals of service, leadership, diversity, friendship, and integrity and wish to create lasting change in the world, in their communities, and in themselves. Making a Difference

Rotary’s Super Hero 5k on April 7, 2019

The Rotary Club of Livingston Parish is a community service organization that’s been part of the Parish’s history since 1966. In the past, we’ve done projects to benefit the Livingston Parish School Board, a World War II veteran, the Albany Community Park, The Family Village (TFV), Mighty Moms, and more. Our Super Hero 5k Race, which was held in the Spring each year in downtown Denham Springs, helped raise funds and shoe donations to help fill the Livingston Parish School Board’s shoe closet, a service to assist students in need of new shoes.

Building Membership

Membership in the Rotary Club of Livingston Parish had fallen since the Great Flood of 2016 and the COVID-19 pandemic, but with recent leadership changes and the addition of new members, new life has been infused into the club. We’re excited about this growth, and want you to share in that excitement. Rotary is an excellent way to get involved in the community, meet new people, and make a difference in people’s lives.

Becoming a Club Member

The Rotary Club of Livingston Parish meet for lunch on Friday’s from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Currently, we’re meeting at the Greystone Country Club Clubhouse in the Board Room. Membership dues are $25.00 per month, paid twice a year ($150 in January and July), pro-rated to the date of membership. Lunch is menu prices, but you’re not required to buy lunch.

Our Global Impact

Our club is an active participant of Rotary Inter-national’s efforts to End Polio Now. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we’ve reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since our first project to vaccinate children in 1979. Today, polio remains endemic only in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But it’s crucial to continue working to keep other countries polio-free. Please help us eradicate this disease.
